How To Become Financially Free As a Student.
HOW TO BECOME FINANCIALLY FREE AS A STUDENT.
Last time I explain why student drop out of school
and possible reasons and factors that contribute to students’ withdrawal from
school after first year. Today I will be teaching you how to avoid all what I
have explained before now and equip you with sound financial intelligence in
order to become financially free as a student.
Most times people ask me to explain what it takes to
be financially free. I try to explain this theory within 10mins by teaching
financial intelligence. No matter how educated you are if you are not
financially intelligent you cannot be rich/wealthy.
When I talk about students’ financial freedom the
first question that most students ask me is if it is possible to be working and
schooling at the same time. Though it is possible to be working and schooling,
but that is only applicable to part-time students. Unlike full-time students
that spent the whole working days in school, working and schooling is not
advisable because it will affect the academic performance of such student. In
this orientation I will be using the full time students as case study. I am
assuming you are a full time student who wants to become financially free
within three months with little or no effort.
First thing you need to understand is that you are
the result and product of your taught. You are whatever you believe you are. If
you think you are poor you will be poor and if you think you are rich you will
be rich. The Bible says ”as a man thinketh in his heart so he is”. If you think
you can never lack you will surely live in abundance by living in it. Living in
it simply means doing those things that put you on the level of living in
abundance even when you still don’t have.
Let’s take for example a family man with 3 kids and
his wife living at Lekki in Lagos. This is a family of five. Normally such
family can only stay in 3 bedroom flat. To get accommodation of 3 bedroom flat
will cost up to 2.5million Naira for two years in Lekki. He may decide to
relocate to a remote locality If he thinks the country is too hard and things
are too difficult to cope. Another man with the same children in the same
environment can decide to move to Banana Island despite the difficulty and
hardship in the country. The difference between the two of them is simply the
power of their mind.
The one who decides to move to a remote locality is
very low and shallow in thinking and the other who decides to move to Banana
Island is deep in reasoning. Your mind decodes every action you take in life. Everything
you do and who you are is as a result of your mind. You live your life based on
what you think of yourself and the confession you make.
If you decide in your heart and make up your mind to
buy a car of 1.2million naira in the next six months everything about you will
be working based on your plan to get the car in six months from now. You will
make plans on how to save at least 200k every month. You know you have just six
months from now to get the car and for you to archive this you need to save at
least 200k every month for the next six months. For this reason the kind of job
or business activities you engage yourself will be the type that will fetch you
enough money to save up to 200k every month.
Likewise if you make up your mind to buy a house of
20million naira in the next six months. Your plans, engagement and business
activities is going to be focused on making a minimum of 20million naira
between now and the next six months. You cannot be targeting 20million naira in
six months when you know fully well that you need a minimum of 3.5million naira
every month and engage yourself in business that will fetch you less than a million
in a month. You live your life based on the plans and visions ahead of you.
If you think at this level the type of phone you can
use is N10,000 android phone you definitely will save based on your target to
get the phone. And if you decide in your heart to upgrade and use a phone of 50,000
you will surely get it at the same time frame. In case you have not really
observe life to that extent. That is exactly how life is. I am telling you this
to open your eyes and prepare your mind to reason beyond the level you are
operating now. I want to make you see beyond what you can see. Like they say;
even if a child climb the tallest tree he can never see what an elderly man
sitting down can see.
WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE MILLIONS IN SIX MONTHS AS A
STUDENT?
That is the next question they ask me after
explaining what I explained above. I will explain that with the simple
principle explained in CASH FLOW QUADRANT. Cash flow quadrant explains the four
categories of individual with different mindset on what to do to make money.
These four categories of people are group into four
levels
E = Employee
S = Self-employed
B = Business Owner
I = Investor
An employee is someone that works in a company or
establishment and receives salary every month.
A self employed is someone who employs him/herself
and work for himself
A business owner is someone that owns a business and
employs people to work for him. He employs and pays the employee salary.
An investor is someone who invests in a business to
make profit from the business. I won’t go into details to further explain the
first three. I will rather talk more on the investor.
If you want to be financially free you have to
operate under the level of business owner or Investor. These two levels
guaranty you financial freedom while the other two put you into slavery and
bondage. As a student I know you don’t have what it takes to start a business
of your own, and at the same time I won’t ask you to go and look for a job to
gather money to start your own business. The best option is to invest the little
money you have in merchandize that can turn your little token into millions
within a short period of time. We have long term investment and short term
investment. But the type of investment I will be exposing you to are short term
investments.
We are now in the computer age. And everything is
computerized which implies that everything is done on internet. You don’t need
to go to the market before buying anything you need anymore. With an internet
