The Worst Thing Ever!
Four years ago there was this very brilliant girl
who applied for JAMB. Someone recommend me to her father for guidance and
assistance. We communicate via emails and phone calls and I explained the same
thing I am explaining and teaching you now to him. At first I taught he
understood all my explanation and advice, not only for me to find out that he
decided to do it his own way along the line. He started giving me excuses that
he will get the materials I recommend for him to get for his daughter. He kept
procrastinating until it was too late.
The major mistake the girl and her father made was
to believe that the materials she had was the best for her. Sometimes you think
I am forcing you to buy or invest in something that does not really matter or
necessary. You think you know it all and know what is best for you than a
profession Educational Consultant like me. You fail to understand that I have
been doing this for decades and I advice and counsel all my students and
clients not just the way I feel or think but with real life experience that is
best for you.
The girl is brilliant and willing to do exactly as I
ask her to do, but the father insist that she make use of what she have to
prepare for JAMB. As an obedient girl she had no choice but to listen and
adhere to her father’s instruction. She continued with what she had and study
with it till the week she is to write the examination. She never knew what is
ahead of her. The day before the day she was to write the examination she came
across the material I recommend for her with one of my students and decided to
go through it. She later found out that she had been missing something which is
time management and subject combination.
She wanted to study Mechanical engineering. The
subject combination for Mechanical Engineering is English, Maths, Physics and
chemistry, but she was studying English, Biology, chemistry and Geography. She asks
her dad to advice her for the subjects to choose for JAMB and the father
ignorantly ask her to choose any four science subjects that she is very good
at. She choose her three best subjects including the compulsory subject English
language. To her the exam will be a very successful one, but little did she
know that she choose the wrong subject combination for the wrong course. When
she realized this it was too late because there was nothing she could do to
correct her errors. The next day she went for the exam so devastated and
confused. She couldn’t concentrate because she knew that year was already a
wasted year.
Two weeks later the result was released. She
sluggishly went to a nearby cybercafé to check her result with the mindset that
she failed, but somehow her result was very good. She got 243 which is on the
high side. She was happy but yet something keeps telling her that she wouldn’t
be admitted because of her wrong subject combination. When it was time for
admission screening her name wasn’t shortlisted for screening because there was
no how she could be considered for admission with the subjects she choose when
filling her JAMB form. She felt so bad and cried for months because her Father
gave her the wrong advice. She blew it right from the beginning because of lack
of knowledge and wrong advice from the wrong person who happened to be her
father.
At that point everything had gone so rough for her
and the father came back to me with the hope of getting solution or remedy. I
told him it was too late and there is nothing I could do at that moment. I
advice him to get another JAMB form for her the following year and he went back
home with his daughter. It was a very painful experience for her because she
really put in all her best to study every day and night, burning candles with
sleepless nights without gaining admission. This affected her psychologically
because she felt so disappointed and couldn’t concentrate the next year.
She applied for JAMB the next year and ever since
then she never score up to JAMB cut off mark for one reason or the other. She
keep trying and trying all to no avail before she finally give up on her
education and get married this year. This simply means the only opportunity she
had was her first chance and she missed it as a result of negligence of simple
instruction. If she had known she wouldn’t had listen to her father. She would have
followed my lead and do exactly as I instructed her to do. She would have
gotten the materials I recommend for her that contains all she need to know and
gain admission that year.
There are so many JAMB materials out there, but just
1% out of them all have the right tools and information that will help you
succeed and gain admission with ease. The rest of them are just bunch of junks
